CRS calculator — Canada Express Entry score

The Comprehensive Ranking System scores an Express Entry profile out of 1,200 points across age, education, language ability, work experience and additional factors such as a provincial nomination. Candidates are ranked against each other, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada invites the highest scorers in periodic draws.

This is an indicative estimate based on the information you provided. It is not immigration advice and does not guarantee eligibility or a visa outcome. Official criteria are set by the relevant government and change frequently. Book a consultation for an assessment of your specific circumstances.

About you

Your age
Your exact age, if you'd like a sharper estimateoptional

Points change year by year between 30 and 45, so this matters.

Marital status

Your education

Highest qualification
My qualification has been formally assessed or recognised abroad

An Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) for Canada, or a recognition decision from Germany's ZAB or anabin. Canada will not let you enter the pool without one, and it is worth 4 of the 6 points Germany's Opportunity Card needs.

A qualification earned in the destination scores extra in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Austria.

Your work experience

Years of skilled work experience

Years of skilled work inside the country you want to move tooptional

Zero for most people. Canada, Australia and New Zealand all score local experience separately.

years
I hold a trade certificate or occupational registration

A certificate of qualification for a skilled trade, or registration with a professional body.

I have an English test result

IELTS, PTE, CELPIP or TOEFL. Canada and Australia score each ability; the UK needs B1; Germany needs B2 to apply without German and gives a point for C1.

French

Worth up to 50 points in Canada at NCLC 7, and it opens the French-language draws.

Ties and history

I hold a Canadian provincial nomination

Worth 600 points — effectively a guaranteed invitation.

I have a brother or sister who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

Worth 15 points.
