What does Canada PR actually cost from India?
For a single applicant, the government and third-party costs of Canada PR from India come to roughly ₹2.5 to ₹3.5 lakh: IRCC processing and right of permanent residence fees, biometrics, the credential assessment, IELTS, medicals and police certificates. Settlement funds must be shown on top of that but are not spent. Consultant fees are separate.
What you pay, and to whom
These are the costs that exist whether or not you use a consultant. Each is paid to the body named, in its own currency, at the stage named.
To IRCC, at application: the processing fee and the right of permanent residence fee for the principal applicant, and the same again for a spouse, plus a smaller fee per dependent child. IRCC's fee page carries the current amounts; they rose in December 2024 and are adjusted periodically. Biometrics are charged per person, with a family maximum.
Before the profile: an educational credential assessment (WES charges in Canadian dollars, plus courier costs to get transcripts there), and IELTS General Training, which is around ₹18,000 in India in 2026. Many people sit IELTS twice.
After the invitation: an upfront medical examination at an IRCC panel physician in India, police clearance certificates from India and any other country you have lived in, and translations for any document not in English.
Money you must show but do not spend
Proof of settlement funds is the largest number on the list and the most misunderstood. It must be in your name, in liquid form, for the period before you apply; it is not a fee. What we charge
Our fee is quoted in writing after the free assessment, before any work starts, with the scope listed. Government fees are never included in it and are never marked up. If the assessment says your score is not competitive, there is no fee, because there is no application worth making.
